Based at The Westwood Centre in Buckley, the project aims to provide support and advice to women that are either considering breastfeeding, or who are currently breastfeeding their child.
The project is made up of a Development Team and Peer Support Volunteers all of whom have personal experience of breastfeeding. There are groups running throughout Flintshire where you can meet other mums for a coffee, and a chat whilst your children play. Volunteer can also visit mothers in their own home if they are unable to attend a group.
We offer advice to help you decide whether breastfeeding is right for you. Practical advice and tips to help you to continue to breastfeed, or to wean your baby when the time comes.
A chance to meet other mums and share experiences at a free informal drop in, (toddlers are also welcome).
Groups are for all breastfeeding mothers, not just for those with a specific issue or concern.
