Vacancy: Third Sector Coordinator – Social Prescribing for Families with Young Children; Young People
Flintshire Local Voluntary Council is looking for a Third Sector Co-ordinator (Social Prescriber) to join their team.
Our Social prescribing team offer Information, Advice and Guidance to the people of Flintshire. This post has a focus on supporting families with young children and also supporting Young People.
Social Prescribing is a means of enabling professionals to refer people to non-statutory support. Recognising that people’s health is determined primarily by a range of social, economic and environmental factors, Social Prescribing seeks to address people’s needs in a holistic way. It aims to support individuals to take greater control of their own health and wellbeing.
Overall Purpose of the Post
As a Third Sector Coordinator within the Social Prescribing Team, the purpose of the post is to assist Flintshire residents to achieve “what matters” to them by providing information, advice and assistance so that they may benefit from what is available to them outside of the statutory sector.
