Do you run a community group, club, society or charity in Flintshire?
People just like you, who invest time in their community, are joining together to learn and share what works for them when it comes to the smooth running of their group, club, society, or charity.
Gather top tips and share best practice on all things “governance”. What can you do to help promote transparency when it comes to decision-making, to stand-up to scrutiny, to comply with relevant laws, and to attract funding or volunteers? What have you done that’s worked well and could benefit others?
When? Thursday 7th November at 1:45pm. Where? Corlan, Unit 3, Mold Business Park, Wrexham Road, Mold, CH7 1XP
We’re inviting everyone that contributes
This event supports Trustees’ Week, and we’re really keen to make clear that we’re inviting everyone that plays a part in your community venture, for example, leaders, trustees, committee members, secretaries and treasurers.
Our hope is that you’ll take away at least one thing that helps you to use the time you invest more effectively, perhaps new information, a different way of fulfilling a responsibility, a tool that makes an element of your work easier, or a new contact.
We’ll make you a cuppa….
…and you’ll benefit from a Good Governance webinar from Wales Council for Voluntary Action (WCVA), before discussing how the information shared applies to what you do, asking questions, and sharing best practice.
FLVC’s Business & Finance Officer Shaun Darlington, Funding Officer Heather Hicks, and Information & Advice Officer John Gray will be on hand to answer questions and share their experience.
