North Wales Energy Advice Centre is a social enterprise that works with local authorities in North Wales to provide free and impartial advice about all aspects of energy use in the home. Work is also carried out with community organisations and small businesses, including providing energy training/presentations.
Advice includes energy use reduction through property improvements and behavioural changes, selection of heating and renewable energy options and changing energy supplier. We provide up to date information about available grants and make direct referrals to approved local installers.
We provide assistance with fuel debt, including negotiating with the energy suppliers, and if necessary contacting the energy Ombudsman on the clients behalf.
We work in partnership with Flintshire County Council in delivering their Affordable Warmth Scheme which can access crisis funding to implement energy measures for vulnerable and in need Flintshire households.
