FREE Safeguarding (Group B) Training for FLVC Members

For the attention of FLVC Members.

In partnership with Groundwork, we are offering FREE Safeguarding Group B training to all full members of FLVC.

Date: Friday, July 17 2026

Time: 9:30 AM – 2:30 PM

Safeguarding is about protecting children and adults from abuse or neglect and educating those around them to recognise the signs and dangers.

This essential training will help equip you with the skills and knowledge required to fulfil your safeguarding responsibilities.

All information relating to the standards and the groups can be found here.

Group B practitioners are those who spend time with people in a group setting or on a one-to-one basis.

They will have a particular responsibility in relation to the people they work with and will need a higher level of knowledge than those in group A because of their direct involvement with people. The people they work with may or may not have safeguarding concerns.

Course Includes (will also refer to specific NWH policies and procedures)

  • Legislation, national policies, and codes of conduct and professional practice in relation to safeguarding.
  • Types / Forms of abuse and how to work in ways that safeguard people from abuse, harm and neglect.
  • The factors, situations and actions that could lead or contribute to abuse, harm or neglect and signs and indicators.
  • How to report, respond and record concerns or allegations related to safeguarding.

Venue: Deeside Leisure Centre, Chester Rd W, Queensferry, Deeside CH5 1SA
