We have an exciting opportunity to be part of a team who provide a National Housing Advice Service through a mixture of phone, web-chat, email advice and online advice services. As a member of our Triage team you will be tasked with answering telephone calls on our helpline, and signposting the client to the most appropriate team or service for advice.
Shelter Cymru are working with staff to offer a form of hybrid working, we are currently asking staff to attend the office one day a week minimum. Employees are provided with an office base but this role can based at any of our offices across Wales.
Shelter Cymru offers generous terms and conditions, including 29 days annual leave for full time members of staff plus 2 concessionary Shelter Cymru days.
Role: Arian Project Support Assistant
Hours: 17.5hrs per week
Location: Flexible with a minimum of 1 day per week working in the office.

An exciting opportunity has now arisen within our Housing Services team for a part-time Project Support Assistant. Shelter Cymru's Money project aims to provide more of our clients with the welfare benefits and debt advice they need when financial concerns contribute to housing insecurity.
The Money project gives our housing consultants and project staff access to advice and guidance from our specialist debt and welfare benefits advisers, helping them to provide a more comprehensive advisory service to our clients.
Vacancy: Regional Fundraising Manager (North Wales Region)

Vacancy: Cancer Community Engagement Officer (North Wales Region)

We’re passionate about engaging with local Welsh communities and their needs when it comes to cancer. And we not only want to represent this but promote awareness of our cancer support services to them so we can make a difference when they need our help and support most.
To support our North Wales work we’re looking to grow our network of community contacts and volunteers. So, we’ve been funded to recruit a local Cancer Community Engagement Officer to cover the North Wales region. As part of a wider Wales team, you’ll represent our North Wales community engagement work to grow awareness of Tenovus Cancer Care and build a volunteer network to help you do that.
The role’s all about finding local connections and offering solutions to bring people affected by cancer together where they live and helping them be seen, listened to and understood to get the right support they need with our help.
Working with local volunteers you’ll scope out, build and strengthen partnerships on a local and regional basis when it comes to helping our cancer communities. We work with our service users holistically at Tenovus Cancer Care. So, you’ll also refer across all our own support services such as Counselling, our nurse led Support Line, Sing With Us and our Mobile Support Units as well as with your wider departments and colleagues across the organisation.

To deliver and develop high quality, cost effective housing rights advice and advocacy services to people in housing need with a focus on preventing homelessness where applicable and improving peoples’ housing conditions. Also to contribute to the promotion of housing policy initiatives and best practice and to work in a constructive and collaborative way with other services, including local authorities and housing associations when it is in the best interest of our users.

Shelter Cymru exists to defend the right to a safe home in Wales and fight the devastating impact the housing emergency has on people.
We help thousands of people each year by offering free, confidential and independent advice and campaigning to overcome the root causes of the housing emergency.
Shelter Cymru’s Arian project provides our clients with welfare benefits and debt advice when financial worries contribute to housing insecurity. It provides our housing caseworkers and advisers with advice and guidance from our specialist debt and welfare benefits advisers, assisting them to provide a more comprehensive advice service for our clients. We also develop additional skills in our frontline workforce through training and resources. The project directly provides specialist advice and advocacy for those with more complex cases.
Working within the Arian project as a debt adviser, you will deliver high-quality, cost-effective housing and other debt advice to people in Wales.
As the Senior Debt Adviser organisationally, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards in all Shelter Cymru debt casework.

KIM Inspire - Artisanctuary Project Lead
