FREE Training for FLVC Members: An Introduction to Public Speaking
FREE Training for FLVC Members: An Introduction to Public Speaking
This introductory workshop is for anyone looking to build their skills and confidence in public speaking, facilitation, and effective communication.
Participants will:
- Be introduced to the foundations which underpin effective communication, anywhere and everywhere.
- Explore simple tools and techniques for developing and delivering effective presentations.
- Have a go at speaking in public (if you want to!) in safe and supportive ways.
No prior knowledge is required, and the workshop will be suitable both for those who are nervous about speaking in public, as well as those looking to hone and refine their skills.
Your workshop will be led by Mike Corcoran.
Mike is an expert in facilitation, communication and public engagement, who supports people and organisations all over the country. He has led Public Speaking Short Courses with Wrexham University, coached business leaders through the Business Wales’ Accelerated Growth Programme, and is a programme facilitator with the Clore School of Social Leadership.
The workshop will run on Wednesday, 22 April, from 10:00 to 12:00 at Ewloe Sports & Social Club.
To ensure fair access for all, we kindly ask that each organisation or group reserve only one space.
Only a set number of places are available – secure yours early to avoid disappointment.
Note: FLVC’s training offer is aimed at organisations operating within the county of Flintshire and priority will be given to FLVC member organisations.
